ABOUT US

We are as extraordinary as our team’s name. Destined to be the synonym for new music and once-in-a-lifetime music events. Postbloo is a handful of boys and girls that since 2007 undertake the most unusual events full of new music. It doesn’t matter whether it is a beach, an abandoned street, a grassy field or even a tunnel ventilation system, it’s certain that we deliver the most extraordinary music events around.

Committed to music, we struggle 24/7 to discover, develop and present new artists, new genres and subcultures worldwide. Our day-to-day practice, relies on activism rather than the formal music business agenda. That means, encouraging people’s active involvement on our operations, engaging synergies day and night, triggering people’s thoughts and actions over any issue that bothers youth societies locally to globally, absolutely no tolerance to any type of discrimination, resulting our mission’s goal: new music through extraordinary lifetime music events. That’s postbloo. This is us.

JOHN PAPAIOANNOU

John is the founder of Postbloo along with Vasilis and Aphrodite. He got into music early on in “too-much-noise-to-tolerate” bands as a drummer until he found his safe haven into electronic dance music, soundtracks and minimalistic, post-romanticism orchestral works as a producer and performer. He earned a postgraduate degree on cultural management in Athens, Greece. Nowadays he is reading too much poetry as he claims that poetic textuality makes you a wonderful dancer (sic). At postbloo he is responsible for the creative agenda around events and festivals and also famous for his night-crawling activities looking for new acts. However, he rarely quenches his thirst for new…

VASILIS TSAVDARIDIS

Vasilis is the co-founder of postbloo along with John and Afroditi. He gave his first concert at the age of 14 in the suburb of Byron, Athens. Since then he has been a member in numerous bands not only in Greece but also in Italy and as a result he is responsible for album releases in both countries. He usually presents the music that he adores through dj sets and radio shows. Vasilis, one of the most workaholic of the postbloo team, is in charge of event production, safety, technical issues and environmental awareness.

DIMITRIS MITROPOULOS

Most people would agree on his weird clothing preferences. Sometimes he is wearing his dj uniform, some other times he is putting on his radio producer’s suit but what he loves most is dressing up like music scout trying to dig out the next big thing. He completed a postgraduate degree on cultural management in Athens, Greece. Sometime in the late 00’s he realized his obsession with event management. At postbloo Dimitris is planning events, booking artists and getting deep into the disc jockey’s rabbit hole for something really new (dare send him some mixtapes!). His specialty? Magiritsa*

*Magiritsa is a Greek soup made from lamb offal associated with the Easter tradition of the Greek Orthodox Church. Something like “Easter soup”.

APHRODITE AZARI

Aphrodite, also a co-founder of the postbloo hype, was born in Athens but currently resides in the UK where she lives, works and wanders. Her love for music started early on singing in bands or individually. She earned a degree in Cultural Technology and Communication (Cultural Informatics) in Greece and also completed a postgraduate degree in audio-visual communication (film and TV theory, culture and industry) in London, UK. Nowadays Aphrodite is a dedicated Meeting and Event Planner with 6+ years’ experience in corporate meeting planning in the UK. At postbloo she overlooks our operations and partnerships abroad and especially in the UK, France and the Scandinavian states giving our team a global perspective. Parallel to that, she manages our audio-visual content and identity. Aphrodite is always up for adventure so when she’s not planning fabulous events you can find her in places no one never been. Tennis is her competitive advantage so think before you grab your tennis racket…

LYDIA CHRONI

Lydia was born in Salonica having deep Scottish roots in castles and weird foggy places up in the north lands of the planet. She is a dancer, choreographer, actress, painter and fashion artist and yet a contemporary mind. Her studies in notable institutions in the UK involve performing arts (contemporary dance and dance theatre), contemporary art theory and philosophy, history of art and ballet degrees. Clearly all she cares about is expression through body movement, sounds and transformations. And that is what she is up to in postbloo, curating our performing arts operations, body politics and agendas, event’s space identity and discourse. Lydia loves art and vintage too…
